Experience the richness of Gujarati culture and language with our expert instructors and comprehensive curriculum. If you're looking to introduce Gujarati to your kids or are looking to brush up their skills, this is for them! Our teaching style is distinctive as we adopt a similar approach to the US education system's method of introducing a second language, such as Spanish or French. What sets us apart is that we prioritize practical application over theoretical concepts. Instead of diving into complex grammar rules right from the start, our lessons commence with the acquisition of fundamental vocabulary. By learning words and phrases that children can immediately use in their daily lives, we foster a hands-on learning experience that promotes practical language skills and encourages active engagement. What to expect: 1. Learn Basic everyday vocab, greetings and be able to communicate "About Me" by the end of the session 2. Familiarity with Gujarati Consonants with emphasis on Phonics (Kakko) 3. Familiarity with Gujarati Vowels with emphasis on Phonics (Barakhdi) 4. Gujarati Poems and Songs (Bal Geets) 5. Gujarati Stories (Vartao) 6. Gujarati Phrases and Sayings (Kehvats and Muhavaras) 7. Understanding Verbs, Nouns and Pronouns in Gujarati 8. Lots of fun and games! The last class of the session will be a group act where the kids will come together virtually and either do talent show or similar (of all that they learned). The goal is for kids to learn and retain the lessons creatively via play. Everything will be driven by the assigned teacher for the session. The course is for the duration of 9 weeks! Each class is 45 minutes long, as recommended by education experts to prevent students from feeling overwhelmed while still allowing them to learn and retain the teachings. Detailed curriculum will be shared with registered students. Please Note: This camp does not cover reading & writing, emphasis is on introducing Gujarati to kids. If you have taken any camp classes with us before, reach out before registering. Cost and provided material is PER student, even if students are sharing a screen for the class.
